It feels like forever since i have been online..... so where do i start? Well for one i am no longer sleeping in accounts class coz i have a new lecturer. If the previous one did nothing but put me on a bus to la-la land, this one also do nothing but make me laugh... and he's not telling jokes. The way he speaks (at least he speaks only eng with bm occasionally) and walks (step, step, click/shuffle) is hilarious. And he likes to ask questions so nobody can sleep. But like the previous, he is basically reading from the slides...
Though majority speaks mandarin, I have found a friend from ipoh that speaks cantonese so i'm not so lonely anymore... still my mandarin has improved quite a bit. They say my pronounciation is quite accurate... But the friend from ipoh has similar characteristic to mine (chu should know what i am talking about). So if there's an argument between us it would be a very big one. But she slightly more aggressive is some ways and more independent.
Since Ben has talked so much about his co-co i also want to add!! I also did not go for any interviews.... too lazy and should give chance to those staying futher away... since they need the merits to stay in the college any my college is very competitive....
I was asked to be the conductor for coral speaking (i have no experience whatsoever) just because i was conductor for choir. It was fun though i did not think i would at first. I found out after aggreeing that the script was malay...fine... then i found out that the whole team was malays (coz the chinese that wanted to join had yoga on the performance day... swt) but still it turned out fine, the script was funny and the response from audiuence was good.
Next, I am now the secretary of the choir club... also a sudden thing. I think this would be my third secretary post. And my assistant is my roommate, Andrea, who is my senior. I am also AJK Sukan for my floor. We have a lot of divisions: university, college, blocks, and floors.
I also tried out for badminton just to see my standard. Still don't know if i made the team but my college has a lot of national players (we have a msn block) so the chances are not too high but still had fun playing the sport again . Oh! And i tried squash! it was fun! but i kept hitting the ball (it's much smaller then i thought) too high.
Hmmm.... i think that is all.... i might be joining modern dance and aikido but that one is not for sure yet... my shedule is just comfortable at the moment... don't want it too cramp... with my involvement as mc and conductor practically the whole college knows me... especially same year one... so embarrasing when everyone walks by me saying 'hi val' and i have no idea what their names are.....
Classes are getting more interesting. My management project is to interview a manager and not just any manager but aim for top managers such as CEO, COO and so on (anyone can get me contacts???). Btw ben, the phone number was not correct. thanks anyway. Accounts finally went pass theory n history and now doing the actual accounting which is like the form 3 one (lucky it's still in my head). But the tutorial is...is... i don't know how to describe. Instead of making things clear, she just mix everythign up for me. Has a quiz yesterday i think i got all of it right (it's only 10 mcq)
Computer practicals are fun but the classes are not. It's one of those that mixes eng n bm like mixing water and oil. It's messy.... I'll probably just read the book and be done :) Kenegaraan is not too bad, i don't sleep (i'll only be taking hubungan etnik next sem or so). My agriculture lec finally came in. He speaks very softly but he is very knowledgable. Makes me feel like reading a lot. Anyone got 'my story' by lee kuan yew? My kenegaraan lec said should read if got time. Did u guys know that singapore was actually removed out of malaysia and not that they wanted to be seperated?
Next week having test already!!! Have to start reading up.... So i guess i'll end here for today... hopefully when i get my laptop i'll update more frequently so will not torture you all with such long posts in the future. BUEY!!!!
Love,
Valerie
