Hi guys!!!!
Don't get jealous but I'm back at home!!! hehe...i know, it's only wed but hey my classes for tommorrow got cancelled coz of some perarakan so came home early. But it seems i'm allergic to home coz i'm having rashes on my legs.... how sad.
Anyway....hmmm i actually have no idea where to start. First i just noticed the blog's archive. I was wondering why it looked weird then i realised that we had posts according to dates instead of months like normal blogs :)
I think i'll start with orientation... very sorry to hear about orientation for the rest of you. The worst part of my orientation was walking a distance to get to the big hall for some of the activities (i'm talking bout 2 times plus the distance between the form 6 block to the canteen in VI... and that's ONE way!!) and having to sit through hours and hours of talks as well as being completely lost(in language matters)
The fecis are all very nice, their theme for this year is kasih sayang :) we were normally let off by 12 and morning only starts at 7.30. There's even a break after lunch and after dinner to catch our breath. Foodwise it's as well as can be expected... not overly spicy for me though there was one time the bread was mouldy...
We had a lot of cheers too. It was fun if you put everything into it. Trying to be heard in the Great Hall when everyone is cheering too. Then we did a lot of waves. The nicer ones involves a few colleges at once. And then the announcer asked us to calm down coz the event will be starting soon, we had quiet waves which ppl did 'shhhh' sounds as the waves proceed instead of loud cheering.
During the minggu ramah mesra we had K6 (my hostel) Idol on the last night. I was the MC for the night as well as conductor for my group which was obviously doing a choir presentation. At first i was only suppose to do the MC part but my group's feci dragged me to become conductor too! My nerves was shot that night but it was worth the experience. My group won 3rd prize.
I think the guys in my college are scared of me hehe. It started during one of the events at the great hall. We were all tired and my hostel's cheer leader gave wrong order twice. First time i let it go, second time i 'asked' him over 2 rows of people what was he doing. After that he passed his phone appologising to everyone. The next time we were at the hall, i was sitting behind him. After finishing a round of cheers, he turned and asked me if it was ok. Haha. No wonder i'm still single :)
oh my senior thought me a new phrase (new to me anyway) SANDY = Single and Available but Not Desperate Yet
Classes are not bad so far. Management is interesting. The lecturer only teaches 2 classes, his work is basically outside. He has 3 companies and can command 5k for a day of consultation. Wow? Computer practical is fun (learnt DOS yesterday) and the lecture is the complete opposite (different lecturers). The only class that i go 'fishing' (nodding off to sleep) is accounts and i'm taking kenegaraan this sem! Imagine that... but my kenegaraan lecturer is very sarcastic if you listen properly. My pertanian lecturer still has yet to appear in class.... strange combo of classes right? Well come to food studies, i don't think this is what you wanted girls (suzie and DC)
One of the brighter parts of these 3 weeks was meeting 2 NS friend. First is a girl that's taking TESOL (i think... it's something to do with eng anyway) who's staying in the college next to mine! bumped into her while at the convinence store. And a guy that went russia to study med and came kl to visit. Because i was worried about not making it back in time for class (the busses in and out of UPM can be quite unreliable) he came in to find me. How nice! Anyway had a long talk and i got a new key-chain!!! Weeee.... anyone going holland?? I need the windmail or wooden shoe in my collection :)
Hmmmmm i seem to have runned out of things to say.... actually there's a lot more but i'm too tired. So either i'll post another one soon or i'll see you guys!!!
But before that... i want to express my feelings for the class but can't seem to find the words. But in simple terms I had an enjoyable and memorable time.
The latest gathering must be by the first sem break k guys??
Muaks!
Valerie
