Long Lost Leng Zai

Finally, I got the time to contribute in this blog after I had been busy for study for the past few weeks. I guess everyone is busy too. I am having a week of mid sem break now after completing 2 modules which are blood and lymph module and cardiovascular module. In ukm medical course, we are introduced to integrated teaching system in which we study system by system. All subjects like anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and so on, for a particular system are taught together in a month. We also learn clinical skills as early as first year. hence, it is a different teaching system from the conventional system in which the subjects are taught separately and clinical skills are taught in 3rd year. Just for your infomation, medical course in um is still practising the conventional system.

Time passes by too fast. I feel like i just started my 3rd sem not long time ago but in fact it is already half way through the sem. I have only 2 modules left which are respiratory system and urinary system. Anyway, i prefer the curriculum in second year more as it is more interesting and applicable comapared to the basic medical sciences in first year. And yet, the basic is essential too in order to understand somethings more advanced (valerie, it sounds familliar right?).

Well, i think it has been ages since my last uploaded photo here. For my big fans like melody and tsu wern, i won't disappoint u all in this post. Here are my recent photo and photos in junior welcoming nights and !!!

P/S: Do you believe that more than half of us had dengue fever before? Dengue fever has no difference to those normal fever and we do gain the some degree of immunity towards same serotype of dengue virus after recovery. Thus, there is nothing if we get infected by same serotype of virus again. You may ask if we do gain immunity, why not government gives us vaccination so that the dengue fever can be eradicated?? If they do, they are putting more harms than benefits to us. The fate is we only get severe clinical manifestation if we are infected by different serotypes of dengue virus in the second infection. There are total of 4 serotypes of dengue virus. So please bear in mind, first infection is dengue fever which rarely develops complication, whereas second infection by different serotypes is dengue HAEMORRHAGIC fever which can be fatal. Last but not least, there is no antidote for this fever as it solely depends on the production of antibody to achieve recovery and only supportive treatment is given for hospitalised patients.
